課程概述 |
This is an integrated English course designed to help students improve their English speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities at college level. |

課程要求 |
1. All reading materials will be provided prior to class discussion. Please read the texts assigned to you before you come to class. Notes to some texts can be found on our Ceiba website.
2. You are also required to read English news articles posted on the Ceiba website and submit online your opinions or feelings on them. The articles will be used in group discussion and report in class.
3. All students are to give an oral presentation at least once.
4. You are required to do in-class essay writing. If you fail to attend a writing session, you must hand in the make-up essay within a week.
5. You will be graded according to your attendance, class performance, and writing exercises. If you fail to respond when I call your name in class to answer a question or if you fail to hand in your essay at the end of an in-class writing session, you will be considered “absent.” Two marks will be deducted from your total score of the semester for every count of absence and three for every missing essay.
